A Bridge Holiday in Rome, organized and curated by your very own Roman, Giorgia Botta.
Our Bridge Pro, and part of the Bridge Professors™, Giorgia is our native Italian bridge pro and comes from the "Eternal City" Rome.
We know that you have probably all been to Rome, but this experience will not be your typical Roman holiday.
We will stay at the Lord Byron Hotel- described as a hotel with the warmth and luxury of a private home - located in one of the chicest residential neighborhoods in Rome.
We will teach and play bridge at Giorgia’s local bridge Club "Accademia del Bridge". The sanctioned games will award Master Points...as you play at tables not only with our group but also with other local Roman players.
We will visit some of Giorgia's favorite places to see the real Rome. This will include optional excursions designed by your host as well as optional dining at some of the local spots that she frequents.
Come for the 'local' unspoiled experience of Rome, play and learn from one of the best bridge professionals, have some fun with your fellow bridge enthusiasts.

5 nights at the Lord Byron Hotel- member of Small Luxury Hotels.
Breakfast daily, cocktail reception first night, fun filled final evening in one of Rome’s best restaurants, snacks morning and afternoon during games and lessons, afternoon included excursion.
Extra nights are available upon request.
This Bridge Academy's emphasis is on learning and practicing what you have learned with practice hands and supervised play. There will also be some competitive duplicate bridge games with black points.
We start Sunday evening with a reception to meet your group and ending on Friday at noon.

The Lord Byron Hotel is located in one of the most chic residential neighborhoods in Rome, Parioli, and is just a few moments walk from the splendid Villa Borghese gardens and 15 minutes walk from Piazza del Popolo. Giorgia is an international bridge champion and world class teacher. Born and raised in Rome, Italy, where she learned to play bridge at the age of 12 from some of the greatest bridge players in the world, Giorgia now resides in New York City, where she has become one of the most respected and sought after teachers and professional players. She teaches and plays regularly at Honors Bridge Club, the largest bridge club in North America, as well as traveling internationally to teach and play bridge. Giorgia has a youthful exuberance and currency in the game that assures you excellent bridge instruction.
Christopher Rivera
Bridge Director at Play Bridge At Sea
Christopher Rivera is an ACBL Accredited Bridge Teacher and tournament rated director. He is Assistant Head Director at Honors Bridge Club, the largest bridge club in North America. He learned to play bridge from his grandmother, who taught him valuable lessons in card play, but Goren style bidding, which he had to unlearn when he began playing bridge seriously. In addition to bridge, he plays many other card and board games. He has a degree in Physics from Lawrence University.
