Live Online Class May 15 and May 22, 2026 Fridays at 3:30PM - 5:00PM Eastern Time Each class 90 minutes Following class recordings and notes will be available. Negative Doubles Negative doubles are the most important convention in bridge. If a partnership is only going to play one convention, negative doubles should be the one. They are the foundation for being able to find major-suit fits after the opponents overcall, and without them, that task becomes dramatically more difficult. In practical bridge, players routinely lose major-suit fits, misjudge competitive auctions, or get shut out of the auction altogether because they do not fully understand what a negative double shows, when it applies, and how the partnership is supposed to continue. Many of the most important negative double auctions are also among the most misunderstood. This class is designed to fix that. In this interactive online class, Sylvia McNamara and Corey Krantz will teach the exact meanings of negative doubles, clarify the auctions that cause the most confusion, and give you a firm grasp of the rules that allow your partnership to compete accurately without overbidding or underbidding. We will cover the lower-level auctions where players often fail to use negative doubles often enough, as well as the more difficult and more advanced auctions where major-suit fits can easily be lost if the partnership is not on the same page. This class will be taught through a live interactive class experience along with supplementary educational videos. As with all of our online classes, you will also have the opportunity to work on your declarer play through the interactive platform we use. That allows you not only to learn the bidding concepts, but also to practice the hands and reinforce the ideas through play. Your class link will be provided in your confirmation. Classes are part of the Elevate Your Bridge Game series. Play Bridge at Sea˜ https://www.playbridgeatsea.com
